Leo Grass has been a long-time resident of Douglas County and was a member of the 2002 class of Master Gardeners. He has been a Master Gardner for 22 years.
You will see him regularly on Mondays in the Master Gardener Plant Clinic answering gardening questions and solving plant problems.
He has been involved in various aspects of the Master Gardener program, including Plant Clinic, mentor for new classes of students, continuing education presentations and community outreach.
Several tidbits of information you may not know about Leo, he’s musical, has been a singer and guitar player and often entertains children on Discovery Garden tours. Additionally, he has owned and ridden a motorcycle in the past.
While he is very knowledgeable about the gardening panorama – bugs, plants, et cetera – besides gardening, he has been known to offer sage advice on other topics.
The Douglas County Chapter of Master Gardeners has been very fortunate to have Leo as a member.
